“We use global sourcing as we see the world as one large market and source from many vendors, regardless of their country of origin.”

Purple Shovel’s Core Purchasing Strategies

Our aim is to make cost effective purchasing decisions from an array of efficient vendors who provide quality goods on time at great prices.

We optimize our suppliers by choosing a mix of vendors who can provide the best prices and terms. As a result, less able suppliers who cannot provide a quality service at the terms and prices required are discarded.

We focus on Total Quality Methods, requiring our vendors to provide an ever increasing quality service with zero errors. The supplier ensures purchasing best practices using a number of tools such as six sigma.

We use global sourcing as we see the world as one large market and source from many vendors, regardless of their country of origin.

As we obtain some of our supplies from countries such as China and India, we focus on risk management of this supply chain. These countries supply products at very advantageous prices, and we build in safeguards to mitigate natural or human disaster to ensure these advantages.

We believe in working hand-in-hand with our vendors. We spend time in developing processes that assist our vendors and remain dynamic by maintaining a depth of vendors for our procurement needs.
We strive to incorporate green purchasing strategies for governments and local governments in our hopes to minimize the negative impact on the environment.

Our purchasing strategies promote the procurement best practices of minimizing costs, maximizing quality and ensuring that quality products are delivered on time.
